Let me repeat the first thing I said in this thread. I am trying to download Fusion 3.1.3 right now, but because I have a poor internet connection (overseas), it isn't always successful. That didn't work it said because it can't find a hard drive. I can see the CD-ROM drive, and even tried to reinstall Windows. Of the ones I looked at, most were trying to install Windows and couldn't see their CD-ROM drive. I have searched these forums for this problem. There have been a couple of hard reboots because of crashes recently. I have installed VMWare Tools, I am certain, so I'm not sure why that message is coming up. I guess it must be missing since no file is listed?Īlso, during boot up, before the above, I get a reminder message to install VMWare Tools. Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM However, upon starting the virtual disk this last time, during bootup, just after it shows the Client MAC address and GUID, I get the following error message: I have been running WinXP on a virtual disk on Fusion 3.0.2 with Mac OS X (10.6.6) host for quite some time without any major problems.
